1. What are the main differences between the Ampr’up 1.5 and the Ampr’up 2.0 e-bikes ?

-Mozo front forks on 2.0, rigid suspension on 1.5

-Fenders standard on 2.0, no fenders on 1.5

-Shimano Acera shifter on 2.0, Shimano Tourney on 1.5

-13.6AH battery on 2.0, 10.4AH on 1.5

2. How often do you have to recharge battery?

Like any other electronic devices, laptops and mobile phones we advise to charge the battery every night after you cycle so you are fully charged the next day.

3. How fast can an e-bike go?

Under Canadian law our e-bikes have to cut out at 32km. However, when not using the motor and/or free-wheeling you can go faster if you wish.

4. Do I need a driving licence?

You don’t need a driver’s licence or need to register, licence and /or insure your e-bike, but you are subject to the same rights and duties as a driver of a motor vehicle. You also must follow bicycle safety rules and wear a bike helmet.

5. Do I need Insurance?

None required. Insurance may be available under a homeowner’s policy.

6. How long does it take to charge the battery?

Our batteries will charge from empty to full in just 4 to 5 hours. But don’t worry. You can top-off your lithium-ion batteries at any time without hurting the battery.

7. How do you control the motor?

Maverick Distributing e-bikes are equipped with both a throttle and a PAS (pedal assist). You can use either system to control the speed of the electric motor. If you want to cruise without pedaling the twist throttle can be used, or, if you enjoy pedaling and if you want to feel more like you are riding a regular bike you can use the pedal sensor by entering one of the 9 levels of pedal assist.

8. How often should I service my e-bike?

We recommend that you should service your bike once a year. Remember to charge your battery after every use.

9. How do I clean my Maverick Distributing e-bike?

Before cleaning your e-bike it’s good practice to remove your battery first. The cleaning process is just like cleaning a regular push bike. It’s best to use a bike cleaner or just a warm damp cloth. Be careful to avoid the electrics & battery terminals. Never use a high-pressure cleaner to wash your electronic bike, it could damage the electronics and never fully submerge your electric bicycle.

10. What is the normal lifespan of a battery?

You can expect your battery to last about 2-4 years or approximately 800 charging cycles to get at 80% of the battery lifespan. Lithium batteries usually don’t just stop working altogether, what happens is they gradually lose their capacity over time. To prolong the life of your battery it’s suggested that you avoid discharging it completely, and to make sure that you charge it at least once every couple of months. When you aren’t using it, we advise you to store it inside or at room temperature as fluctuations in temperature, cold or heat will damage the battery.

11. Can I use my Maverick Distributing e-bike in the rain?

Yes, you can ride your e-bike in the rain as all of our models are water resistant. We don’t suggest storing the e-bike outside when it rains,as with any electric devices, use with extra caution, If the controller or battery gets wet, it could cause problems with the performance.

12. How do I control my Maverick Distributing Head Light and Tail Lig

To turn the headlight on, hold the + button on the pedal assist control for 4 seconds.  Hold it another 4 seconds to turn the headlight off

The tail light has a small yellow switch on the back,  hold the switch down for 3 seconds to turn the light on, there are several solid and flashing modes in the tail light,  press the switch again to switch modes, or press repeatedly until the light turns off.


Warranty policy

All AMPR’UP electrical bicycles from Maverick Distributing are covered under one-year all-inclusive manufacturer’s warranty and only applies to the original owner and against all manufacturing defects. Maverick Distributing warrants all

Maverick Distributing Limited 1-year warranty:

Maverick Distributing e-bikes components including: pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, , kickstand, hardware are warranted to be free from manufacturer defects materials and/or workmanship for a 1-year period from the date of original purchase. Any wear and tear is not covered under warranty. All our batteries are warranted for a 1-year period from the date of original purchase. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of an improper charge, improper maintenance or another such misuse, normal wear or water damage.

If a component is defective or damaged without user error we will issue a replacement part within the first year. We will assist you in replacing any defective part. We will also replace any parts that have been damaged during shipping. We will provide the owner with a replacement product if the product cannot be repaired after a reasonable number of tries as determined by Maverick Distributing.

Maverick Distributing terms of warranty

This warranty only applies to the original owner of an e-bike that was distributed by Maverick Distributing. If you need any adjustment on those etc., then we ask you to visit your local bike shop. Exclusions:

Normal wear and tear
Improper assembly
Improper follow-up maintenance
Installation of components, parts or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold
Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse or neglect
All Water damage and batteries that have been left to self-discharge for an extended period of time are not covered by the terms of the warranty.

This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear components (i.e.: tubes, tires, brake pads, cables, chain, freewheel, derailleur, crank arm, grips, and saddle).

AGREEMENT FOR USE OF BINTELLIi™ AND AMPR’UP ELECTRICAL BICYCLES FROM MAVERICK DISTRIBUTING

 I, the undersigned, in consideration of using the Electrical Bike, have read, understand and expressly agree to the following:

  1. Risk of Personal Injury.

I understand that the risks of Electrical Bicycles  are numerous and include, but are not limited to, the following: DEATH, PARALYSIS, HEAD INJURIES, BROKEN BONES, CUTS, SCRAPES, DAMAGE TO BIKES, GEAR, AND CLOTHING, AND CAUSING DAMAGE TO AND/OR INJURING OTHERS; falling; loss of control; encountering trees, limbs, brush, rocks, structures, ropes, barriers, or other man-made or naturally occurring obstacles; encountering unpredictable terrains such as varying steepness, mud, holes, cliffs, gravel, narrow trails, and/or lack of trails; negligence of other riders, persons, or vehicles.

  1. Conditions and Representations.
  2. I have made no misrepresentations to  Maverick Distributing, regarding, including, but not limited to, my height, weight, age, abilities, or bike type.
  3. All instructions for the use of any electrical bike(s)) have been made clear to me, and I fully understand how to use the bike. I accept the electric bike for use as is, and accept full responsibility for the care of the electric bike while it is in my possession. A copy of the Instructions for Use is attached to the website as Exhibit 1 to this agreement and waiver. I have Reviewed and understand the instructions in exhibit 1.

III. I have a helmet or one has been provided to me and I will wear a helmet every time I ride the Electrical Bike.  I understand that wearing a helmet may decrease the risk of head injury.

  1. The Bike as given to me is working properly. I am physically and mentally able to ride the bike and I am familiar with an electrical bike riding and its physical and mental requirements and risks involved.
  2. I will read and follow all instructions and signs. I agree that the Maverick Distributing will not be responsible for the unsafe use or any violations of the terms of this agreement and waiver.
  3. If I have used or ride an Electrical Bike from Maverick Distributing then I agree that I am fully responsible for all damage or loss to the bike and agree to pay for all repairs or for the replacement cost of the bike, if lost, stolen, or damaged.
  1. Release of all Liability (including negligence).

I AGREE TO FULLY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE MAVERICK DISTRIBUTING FROM ANY LIABILITY for any damages, injuries, or claims, including any injuries or damages occurring from any negligence of the to myself or any other person or property, as a result my participation in electrical bike usage, or one of Maverick Distributing’ bike riding. I fully understand and agree to release the Maverick Distributing for its negligence in causing in whole or in part any injury to me.

  1. Express Assumption of Risks.

I EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK OF LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY OCCURRING AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN USAGE, AND/OR ELECTRICAL BIKE RIDING, INCLUDING THE RISK OF MAVERICK DISTRIBUTING NEGLIGENCE.

  1. Promise Not to Sue and Hold Harmless.

I AGREE NO LAWSUIT WILL BE FILED BY ME OR ON MY BEHALF AGAINST MAVERICK DISTRIBUTING  as a result of my participation in bike try-out, or purchasing an Bintelli or AMPR’UP E-Bike. If I do file a lawsuit, I agree to pay any attorney fees, costs or judgments incurred by Maverick Distributing even if Maverick Distributing is found negligent. I FURTHER AGREE TO INDEMNIFY Maverick Distributing AND HOLD IT HARMLESS FOR ANY DAMAGES, INJURIES, JUDGEMENTS OR LAWSUITS, including any attorney’s fees and costs incurred by Maverick Distributing as a result of my use of the bike or any lawsuits resulting from my use. I agree my obligation to indemnify and hold harmless applies even if Maverick Distributing is negligent.  I understand this is a contract, which limits my legal rights, and it is binding upon me, my heirs and legal representative. If portions of this agreement are invalid, it is agreed the remaining portions will remain intact and enforceable. By signing or reading  the Release of Liability, the undersigned acknowledges she or he has fully read and understands the above and foregoing.

All Riders under the age of 18 years are required to have a parent or legal guardian read and also sign this Release: The parent and the Rider have read, understand and agree to comply with this Release. By signing this document, the parent or guardian agrees to each of the provisions above, including to indemnify and hold Maverick Distributing, its agents or employees harmless from any and all claims brought by the Rider or resulting from the Rider’s actions, whether Maverick Distributing, its agents or employees are negligent or not.  The parent or guardian has reviewed the instructions for use attached as Exhibit 1, has reviewed them with the Rider had certifies that the Rider is familiar with the instructions and has shown to the parent or guardian that Rider can safely and competently use the equipment.

Please note that all information regarding the expected range on a single charge on one of our electrical bicycles “e-bikes” is an estimate, not a guarantee. There are many factors that contribute to the actual, real-world range for an electrical bicycle “e-bike” battery such as the age of the battery, temperature, level of assist, speed, payload, and terrain. Given the right conditions, it is possible to get less than the expected minimum range or greater than the expected maximum range.
